List Of Celebs Who Left Us In 2020

2020 has been a year that most of us want to rewind and live it differently. But as we enter the second half of the year, here’s a list of celebrities who left us in only the first 6 months of the year from Bollywood.

2020, a year that’s been brutal to each one of us in one way or the other. With the ongoing struggle to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been cyclones, forest fires, earthquakes in several parts of the world. And while the world is just moving on from these calamities, the showbiz too experienced loss of some of the most talented collegeaus this year.

As we enter the second half of the year, here’s wishing to better days, better times and a hope for peace to all the souls that left us in dismal.

Irrfan Khan (1967 – 2020)

The 53 year old actor was battling with neuroendocrine tumour took his last breath on 29th April after fighting for it for 2 years. His final film was Angrezi Medium released in March this year.

Saroj Khan (1948 – 2020)

Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan took her last breath on 3rd July , passed away from a cardiac arrest. Last worked with Madhuri Dixit for the song Tabaah Ho Gaye from the film Kalank, Khan was 71.

Yogesh Gaur (1943 – 2020)

Legendary Lyricist who penned the lyrics for Manzil, Anand, Chhoti Si Baat died on 29th May. The death of the artist is not specified. According to the reports, her wasn’t keeping well since sometime. He was 77.

Rishi Kapoor(1952 – 2020)

The 67 year old, Rishi Kapoor was one of the most popular and talented actor of Bollywood left us on 30th April after a long battle with Cancer. The actor was last seen in 2019 suspense thriller film The Body starring Emraan Hashmi and Sobhita Dhulipala.

Basu Chatterjee (1930 – 2020)

Legendary filmmaker Basu Chatterjee known for making films like Chameli Ki Shaadi, Chhoti Si Baat etc passed away at the age of 90 on 4th June.  According to reports, he died of age- related issues.

Mohit Baghel (1993 – 2020)

The 26 year old actor, who we saw in Salman Khan starrer Ready, released in 2011, passed away on May 23rd due to cancer.

Nimmi  (1933 – 2020)

Veteran actress Nimmi took her last on March 25. She was 87 and was having breathing difficulties.

Imtiaz Khan (1942 – 2020)

Imtiaz Khan, brother of late actor Amjad Khan took his last on March 15th. He is known for his performance in films like Yaadon Ki Baraat. He was 77.

Kishori Ballal (1937- 2020)

Veteran actress Kishori Ballal, who had won hearts with her performance in 2004 drama Swades starring Shah Rukh Khan, passed away following age related ailments on February 18. She was 82

Sushant Singh Rajput (1986 – 2020)

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment on 14th June. According to the reports, the 34 year old actor committed suicide and was also battlling depression since sometime now. His final film Dil Bechara opposite Sanjana Sanghai is releasing on Disney + Hotstar on July 24th.
